Celebratory Event Held to Mark 10.3 Billion Won Milestone for Second Business School Building Fund

  Sungkyunkwan University’s School of Business (Dean Lee Jong-eun) hosted a celebratory event on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Loft House of Lacasa Hotel to commemorate achieving 10.3 billion won in fundraising for the Second Business School Building. The event commenced with expression of gratitude from Chairman of the Board Park Jae-wan, followed by opening remarks from President Yoo Ji-beom, a response speech by Alumni Association President Lim Kyung-yoon, and a progress report and future roadmap presentation by Dean Lee Jong-eun.

During the event, plaques of appreciation were awarded to Kim Won-gap, Chairman of the Second Business School Building Fundraising Committee (Vice Chairman of Hyundai Corporation Holdings, Business '72), and Lee Jeung-sang, Secretary General of the Alumni Association (Business '74), in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the campaign.

The program continued with reflections shared by former alumni association presidents, followed by a networking dinner that fostered a warm atmosphere of fellowship.

Fundraising for the Second Business School Building officially began in April 2009. To date, a total of 10.38 billion won has been raised through the generous participation of 677 individual donors and 15 organizations. "The unwavering dedication of the Business School Alumni Association united our community, allowing this fundraising campaign to continue seamlessly for 17 years," Dean Lee Jong-eun stated. "We will continue to honor the enduring commitment of our alumni to provide a premier educational environment for future generations."
